Uvalde college library opens Educator Resource Room

SWTJC administrators and staff were in attendance for a grand opening ceremony for the new Educator Resource Room, which is located inside the Will C. Miller Memorial Library on the Uvalde campus.

The resource room is open to students from SWTJC and Sul Ross Rio Grande College, education professionals, teachers, support staff, and parent volunteers from Uvalde and surrounding communities.

“SWTJC and Sul Ross Rio Grande College will not be charged for material that is used for class projects and assignments,” said Dr. Juanita Flores SWTJC Director of Libraries. “Additionally, all SWTJC and Sul Ross RGC staff and faculty are encouraged to use this equipment for special events, informational posters, and all other college and university business.”

At this time, the library can only accept cash from patrons using the resources for personal or business use outside of SWTJC and SRRGC

As an incentive, users can bring non-perishable food items to donate to the SWTJC Food Pantry for a 5% discount on resource room purchases.

Each individual can bring in up to 5 non-perishable items for a 25% discount on each visit.
