About Counseling Centers

With offices on the Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Uvalde campuses, the Counseling Centers assists students with academic, technical, career, and personal concerns in ways consistent with their personal and educational goals, and in ways which will benefit them presently and in the future.

Counseling is available all year round to all prospective and future students of SWTJC. However, the college cannot provide long-term individual counseling. Referral assistance is provided for those individuals needing more extensive counseling than the Counseling Centers are able to provide.

All counseling services are free and confidential. No record of visits is recorded on a student's official transcripts or job placement files. No information about counseling is released to anyone outside the college without the student's written permission except in certain circumstances required by law.

In Eagle Pass, students may call 830-758-4102. In Del Rio, students may call 830-775-1560. In Uvalde, students may visit the Counseling Center on the second floor of the Administration Building or call 830-591-7271. Counselors are also available at the Student Support Services, the Career Center, and at the Student Activities Center. Please view "Counselors & Staff" and "Office Hours" for further information about the counseling staff.
