Eagle Pass Library celebrated Harry Potters Birthday





                On July 31, 2017 the Eagle Pass library celebrated Harry Potters Birthday. To support student engagement, the library invited all their students, staff and faculty to demonstrate their handcraft skills in creating wands. To make students aware of our new 3D printing services, everyone who attended was given the opportunity to enter a raffle of 3D printed items linked to the theme: necklace, wands, Harry Potter glasses, Harry Potter crest. The guests were treated with snacks and pastries. Over all students seem to have enjoyed the gathering of Harry Potter birthday. PICS

PTK Library Remodel project



Eagle Pass – Tuesday, June 27, 2017, SWTJC Eagle Pass Campus’s Phi Theta Kappa and SWTJC students completed their Glass Elementary Library Remodel project which is part of their PTK Reading B.O.O.K.S. (Books Offer Opportunities for Knowledge and Success) campaign. Over the course of three and a half weeks, PTK worked on making the library an engaging and friendly reading environment. More than thirty SWTJC and Back to Action Physical Therapy volunteers cleaned, sanded, primed, painted, and constructed furniture to make the project a success.

Graduation reception 2017


Eagle Pass - May 19th- The Graduates of 2017 were treated to a small reception. The students were treated to sandwiches, sodas and a small gift . The students also had the opportunity to take a picture with the Vice President Mr. Bermea and family. Congratulations Class of 2017 from all of us at the Eagle Pass Campus. Pics

The Diesel Grillin Outlawz win the Grand Champion


Eagle Pass, Texas May 18th- The "The Diesel Grillin Outlawz", representing the second year diesel students were named Grand Champions at the First Ever "Gilling with the Vice President" on Friday (May 5th) on the Eagle Pass Campus. Photos

The "Theta Apple Pie", representing the Phi Theta Kappa were named the reserve grand champions.

Coming in thrird overall was Team Grillin Writers, representing the Creative Writing Club.

A total of 7 teams participated in the cooking contest, and all teams were required to cook and submit a half chicken, ribs and fajitas.

Judges were selected from members of the SWTJC faculty, staff and administration.

SWTJC end of the year BBQ


SWTJC Eagle Pass Campus had their end of year bbq on May 11th at 5pm in C building.

Instructors, staff and faculty were treated to some good old fashion brisket, beans and potato salad to celebrate another successful year. More pics

Various SWTJC staff received service pins from Vice President Mr. Bermea during the annual event

Mrs. Delia Esquivel received a 30 year service pin,  while Mrs. Claudia De La Garza received a 15year pin. Mr. Jaime Sierra also received a 15 year service pin.

Mrs. Sonia Alvarez and Mrs. Julie Monsivais both received their 10 years service pin.
