SWTJC Eagle Pass Campus had their end of year bbq on May 12th at 5pm in F 120.
Instructors, staff and faculty were treated to some good old fashion brisket, beans and potato salad to celebrate another successful year. more pics

Claudia De La Garza, Activity Life coordinator welcomed those attending this year's fest, De La Garza introduced the candidates for the Mr. and Miss. SWTJC and announced the 2016 winners.
For the Eagle Pass campus, winners were Mr. Carlos De La Cerda and Miss. Amanda Martinez representing Phi Theta Kappa.
Additionally, a total of 10 students were honored by faculty and staff with Who's Who recognition, during the award Ceremony.
SWTJC Eagle Campus honorees include:Celestino Mendez, Cynthia J. Crabtree, Adela Esquivel, Rosa Flores, Damian Gutierrez, Darien K. Long, Bridgitte Y. Luna, Leslie T. Tamez, Michelle M. Trevino and Isha S Vasquez Candelario.
Vice- President Mr. Gilbert Bermea presented the awards to all honorees during an awards presentation.
Also recognized at the ceremony were Leadership award winners from the Eagle Pass Campus. Recipients of "L" awards are chosen by sponsors of various clubs and organizations at the college.

Roque Peña, a student at SWTJC in Eagle Pass, was awarded a medallion as a member of the Texas All-State Academic team. This award and selection is given to outstanding students on behalf of Phi Theta Kappa, the Association of community college presidents and The University of Texas in honor of outstanding academic and civic performance. SWTJC Eagle Pass promoted Safe N' Sober Week with a variety of activities. Starting Monday, March 7th "Know Your Limits" Banner Pledge flyers, bracelets and pamphlets on alcohol awareness were distributed in C building 11am - 1pm. More Pics
On Tuesday, March 8th students were treated to Mock-tail drinks and a Contest get involved with sprit with non- alcoholics drinks.
On Wednesday, March 9th PTK had their Blood Drive and Thursday, March 10th was BYOB party - "Bring your own Banana" students were treated to banana splits in F building.
The Safe N' Sober event was sponsored by Student Activities Office.

The Student Success Center hosted its annual College Crossroads on March 22nd in F 120. where students had the opportunity to visit with advisors, financial aid and several other departments as we kick-off summer and fall registration. More Pics
"We want students to be ready for the upcoming semesters and be aware of all the services and resources available to ensure success on their academic journey," said Miss. Claudia Valdez Student Success Coordinator." Plus, various universities were invited to come and talk to students to share about the different programs offered once they graduate and transfer." During this time, we also had student organizations share with students on campus the various things they are doing and what their organization represents.
