Men win, women lose in hoops action at home

The SWTJC Cowboys led from start to finish in posting a 101-94 win over the University of the Incarnate Word on Nov. 21 in Uvalde.

Cole Martinez led the SWTJC scoring attack with 14 points. Ethan Lynch, 21 points; John Register, 20; and Christopher Lopez, 14, also scored in double figures for the Cowboys.

In the women's game, SWTJC fell, 66-60, to Palo Alto College. Araceli Delgado with 13 points and Brandy Santleben with 12 points were the top scorers for the Cowgirls.

The women will wind up their fall schedule at home on Nov. 30 against the University of the Incarnate Word, while the final fall game for the Cowboys will be on the road Dec. 8 when they travel to Kerrville to take on Schreiner University.
