Spring semester online and advisor-assisted registration continues at sites across SWTJC's 11-county service area.

"Advisor-assisted registration will be conducted from now through Dec. 9," SWTJC registrar Luis Fernandez said. "We have plenty of time slots available in Uvalde so I encourage students to come on in and register."

Fernandez also said students taking developmental classes this semester should come in and get a time permit now in order to register after the first of the year.

"Students in developmental classes have to wait until after Jan. 1 to register and they have to have a time permit," Fernandez said. "We are already booked up for Jan. 2, and other time slots are filling up as well."

Time permits can be obtained by visiting the registrar's office in the Flores Student Services Building. Online registration is also an option for eligible students and will be available throughout the Christmas break.

As of Monday morning, Nov. 28, a total of 2.439 students have registered for spring classes.

"We set a goal of registering 2,500 students before we break for Christmas and we should make that easily," Fernandez said.
