On November 17, 2011 Molina Healthcare Inc, visited the BIOL 2401 Anatomy and Physiology class between 1:30pm - 3:00pm. Ms. Rose Mary Santos, the Enrollment Growth Territory Manager, presented the objective and goals of Molina Healthcare. Ms. Marissa Rodriguez, the health care educator gave a presentation on "Body Mass Indez (BMI).
Ms. Rodriguez discussed the pathophysiological basis of "BMI" and it is role in "Obesity". Energized by the term "Obesity", students inquired about the link of prevalence of "Obesity" in the general population. As expected, Ms. Rodriguez informed the class that, "Diet" and "Lack of Exercise" are the key factors for "Obesity" in an epidemic proportion in the general population.
