The SWTJC Cowboys closed out their fall basketball season with a 112-98 overtime win over Schreiner University on Dec. 8 in Kerrville.

According to coach Richard Flores, the game was tied at 91-91 at the end of regulation play.

"They called a ridiculous technical on one of our players right at the end of regulation and gave them the chance to send the game to overtime," Flores said. "Our guys kept their composure, stayed focused and pulled out the victory."

SWTJC's Ed Salazar hit seven of nine three pointers and ended the night with 32 points to lead the Cowboys scoring attack.

Next action for the Cowboys will be in January when play resumes in the South Texas Club Sports League.
