A week remains for students to register for spring classes at SWTJC.

According to associate dean Gilbert S. Bermea, approximately 150 students registered in Eagle Pass on Jan. 5 during a special one-day onsite registration.

"We had a few technical difficulties, but overall everything went very smoothly," Bermea said.

SWTJC registrar Luis Fernandez said a total of 4,781 students had registered for spring classes as of Friday morning, Jan. 6.

"We were busy with advisor-assisted registration this week and our online registration continues to be steady," Fernandez said. "With a week to go before classes start we are still hopeful we will be close to our fall numbers."

Last fall, a total of 5,664 students registered for classes.
