fowlerandwinnerSWTJC staff were pleased with the turnout and results of the first summer orientation session held July 13 on the Uvalde campus.

"We had over 80 students attend the session," SWTJC Registrar Luis Fernandez said. "We will make a few changes to our agenda for the next orientation on July 27, but overall I was very pleased with the way things went."

Various college staff outlined their individual programs during the opening session in the Tate Auditorium. Breakout sessions on financial aid, student services, portal and WebAdvisor access, and degree planning/class scheduling were held following the opening session.

Campus and library tours were also conducted during the day. Following a complimentary lunch and pie eating contest, students met with advisors to officially register for fall classes.
