A total of 2,723 students have registered for fall classes after the first four days of advisor-assisted registration.

"This number includes online registration as well as students who registered in person this week," SWTJC Dean of Admissions Joe Barker said Friday morning. "We are on the same pace as we were a year ago, so we are expecting another good enrollment.

"According to Barker, just under 300 students were registered on Thursday during a special onsite registration in Del Rio.

"We had a busy day in Del Rio and I thank all the instructors and staff for all their help," Barker said. "This coming week, Uvalde staff will be traveling to Castroville, Eagle Pass, Pearsall and Hondo to assist with registration at all those sites."

Castroville registration is slated Monday, Aug. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., while Eagle Pass registration will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Students may register in Pearsall at the Junior High Annex from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, registration in Hondo will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the new South Texas Regional Training Center.
