The annual fall blood drive on the Uvalde campus was a big success.
According to drive organizer San Juana Trevino, a total of 72 units of blood were donated. In addition, 61 people signed up for the bone marrow registry.
"Once again, the faculty, staff and students have shown what a caring and giving family we have at SWTJC," Trevino said. "I thank everyone for their support."
Representatives from the San Antonio-based South Texas Blood and Tissue Center were on the Uvalde campus with their mobile unit.
