dr. kannan The class of Biol 1408 Biology for Non-Science Majors I had a presentation on "Forensic Science and it's application in crime scene investigation, " which was presented by Officers Mr. Torres and Mr. Valdes from the City of Eagle Pass Police Department.

The goal of this presentation was to link basic biological concepts, such as the structure and function of DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid), the genetic material in the human body, and crime scene investigation. Students learned the principles of the forensic science and its implications in solving the crime(s).

The presentation was very much appreciated by the students planning to major in Criminal Justice and in serving the community and the nation in the future.
