A total of 5,945 students were enrolled when fall 2013 classes started Monday (Aug. 26).
According to registrar Luis Fernandez, Wednesday (Aug. 28) is the deadline to make schedule changes and finalize payment arrangements.
"We still have a large number of students who we will have to drop from classes if they don't make payment arrangements," Fernandez said. "All students should check their account summary on WebAdvisor to make sure they don't have an outstanding balance due."
SWTJC Vice President of Student Services Dr. Blaine Bennett echoes Fernandez' warning.
"We want to help everyone take care of any financial issues they have," Dr. Bennett said. "But students who think their balances are just going to magically disappear will have a rude awakening when they get dropped from classes. The bottom line is that we can't help if students don't come in to see what options are available."
