Fall classes officially began across SWTJC’s 11-county service area on Monday, Aug. 25.
In Uvalde, Student Success Depratment began the fall semester with their “Kick Off” event in the fountain area, which will run through Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Information booths are available in order to help students get acquainted with the different clubs and organizations on campus.
The admissions office is also on hand helping students with any scheduling issues and making student ids available.
Free hot dogs and drinks will be served to all students for lunch out in the courtyard. The kick off event is sponsored by First State Bank of Uvalde, The Gourmet Coffee Cup and Julio's Restaurant.
According to Luis Fernandez, SWTJC Registrar, enrollment is at 5,708 as of 8 a.m. Monday morning. Students have until Tuesday to change their schedule.
