Northeast Texas, TAMU take top rodeo team honors

Northeast Texas Community College took the men's team title, while Texas A&M University won the women's division in the 49th Annual SWTJC College Rodeo held Oct. 6-8 in Uvalde.

The SWTJC men finished sixth among the 11 teams competing. Corey Matthew Bader tied for fifth as a header in the team roping event, while Tyler Wojciechowski finished fifth as a heeler. Kelby Lane Crow also earned points for the SWTJC men taking sixth place in steer wrestling.

Morgann McDonald took seventh place in goat tying to earn the only points for the SWTJC Cowgirls.

SWTJC rodeo team members will compete this weekend (Oct. 13-15), in Mt. Pleasant at the Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo.
