Annual Awards Ceremony

Winners in each age group and category will be presented an award at the annual SWTJC Creative Arts Contest Awards Ceremony. The ceremony will take place Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the SWTJC Matthews Student Center located on the main campus in Uvalde. We will give first, second, third, and fourth place awards in each age group and category. A $20 cash prize will be awarded overall literary and visual arts winners in each age group. You will be notified by mail before the awards ceremony if you are a winner. Traditionally, we do not tell you what place you have won. We save that for the ceremony!

The Palm's Leaf

All winning entries will be printed in THE PALM’S LEAF, a publication featuring the SWTJC Creative Arts Contest winners. The 2013 magazine (last year’s winners) will be available to purchase at this year’s award’s ceremony. The 2014 magazine (this year’s winners) will be available to purchase at the 2015 award’s ceremony.
