| Cesar Chavez Scholarship |
The Community Council of Southwest Texas, Inc., offers twenty scholarships a year to migrant/seasonal students who wish to further their education through a post-secondary institution of higher learning. The scholarship was named in honor of Cesar Chavez who worked to give dignity to the migrant farm workers of America. Applications are available at your local Community Council of Southwest Texas, Inc., 713 East Main, Uvalde, Texas 78801. Applicants must be migrant/seasonal farm workers and show proof of being below the federal poverty income guidelines to qualify for the scholarship.
