| Georgie Mae Gauthier Memorial Scholarship |
The family and friends of Georgie Mae Gauthier, a long time resident and teacher in the Uvalde Independent School District, have established an endowment fund. The interest from this endowment is to be used as a scholarship fund for Uvalde High School graduates majoring in education and attending SWTJC. The scholarship may be extended to the sophomore years if "satisfactory grades" are maintained. Applications for the scholarship should be made through the SWTJC Scholarship Committee. The recipients are selected by the SWTJC Scholarship Committee.
