Palomino Fest draws large crowd, donates $25K to SWTJC

Uvalde, TX, September 11, 2023 - The annual Palomino Fest Labor Day Weekend Celebration, held from August 31 to Sept. 3 at the Uvalde County Fairplex, proved once again to be a resounding success, drawing an average of 20,000 enthusiastic attendees. This year's festival surpassed all expectations, bringing the community together for four days of fun, music, and entertainment.
 
Wade Carpenter, Palomino Fest organizer, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers who played a pivotal role in ensuring the event's success. "Our volunteers are a major reason for the success we have had throughout the years," Carpenter emphasized. "I especially want to extend my sincere thanks to all the volunteers from SWTJC who dedicated long hours under the scorching sun to make this year's event a memorable one."
 
The success of Palomino Fest would not have been possible without the generous support of various stakeholders. Carpenter extended special thanks to the sponsors and organizations that rallied behind the festival. Their unwavering support contributed to creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
 
One of the most significant highlights of Palomino Fest is its commitment to education. Proceeds from the event are dedicated to scholarships at Southwest Texas Junior College (SWTJC). With this year's $25K donation, Palomino Fest has achieved an incredible milestone, having raised a total of $310,000 for scholarships at SWTJC.
 
The Palomino Fest Labor Day Weekend Celebration continues to exemplify the spirit of community, music and education, making it a cherished tradition in Uvalde. As it concludes another successful year, the festival organizers look forward to the continued support of the community and are already planning for an even more remarkable celebration in the years to come.
