Former SWTJC President Dr. Ismael Sosa Passes Away
Uvalde, TX, December 15, 2020 - Dr. Ismael Sosa, Jr., longtime president of SWTJC, died on Tuesday. He was 75.
Current SWTJC President Dr. Hector Gonzales put out a statement via email to faculty and staff.
“It is with heavy heart that I share the following. Former SWTJC President Dr. Ismael Sosa passed away earlier today. He was part of our SWTJC family for 45 years. Serving as Dean of Admissions and Student Services from 1968 to 1999, then as President from 1999 until his retirement in 2013.” Gonzales said. “He will be missed. Our condolences go out to his wife Eunice Sosa, and his family.”
According to a close friend of the family, they are in the process of arranging funeral services.
