Financial Aid

Course instruction will be offered via online modes of instruction for the Summer I Session. For the safety of our students and community, the May 2020 Graduation Ceremonies will be provided in a virtual format via YouTube on Saturday, July 11th. Visit our COVID-19 FAQs page for more information. SWTJC will observe summer hours beginning Monday, June 1st through Friday, July 31st. Office hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The current work from home environment is still in place unless instructed otherwise.

Financial Aid

The Student Financial Aid Office provides applications, forms, and guidance to students to facilitate the process of applying for student financial aid. The Student Financial Aid Office administers various federal and state programs to offer financial resources for students.

Applying for Financial Aid

Online (quickest response): Applicants are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ (SWTJC school code: 003614). Computers are available at our campuses located in Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Del Rio and Crystal City.

After You Apply

FAFSA on the web: Your application will be processed as soon as you submit to the Department of Education.



Summer Book Vouchers

1. Students can email fao@swtjc.edu to request a Summer Book Voucher. (Must include First and Last Name, Student ID, and Location)

2. The Financial Aid Office will process the Book Voucher and route it to the Business Office.

3. The Business Office will submit the student's information to the Bookstore to process the request.

4. The Bookstore will email the student when it is time to pick up their merchandise. Curbside pickup is available, but if you need your supplies mailed to you, there will be a $12 fee to mail items to students.

The following Financial Aid forms are available in a .pdf format for downloading. Each of the documents has specific instructions and should only be printed and submitted if a Financial Aid Advisor or a letter from the Financial Aid Office has directed you to print and submit the form.
