Creative Arts Contest

The creative arts contest offers students and non-students in our community the opportunity to explore and enhance their creativity. The contest is an annual event that is coordinated by the SWTJC Arts and Sciences Division plus the Public Information Office.

Winners in each age group and category will be presented with an award at the annual SWTJC Creative Arts Contest Awards Ceremony. The ceremony is planned to take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the SWTJC Matthews Student Center located on the main campus in Uvalde. We will give first, second, third, and fourth place awards in each age group and category. A $20 cash prize will be awarded to overall literary and visual arts winners in each age group. Winners will be posted online at www.swtjc.edu. Traditionally, we do not tell you what place you have won. We save that for the ceremony!

Entry forms must be filled out and submitted online. Before submitting the form, print and attach it to the artwork. Entries along with their form are required to be delivered to the SWTJC Uvalde campus for judging with the exception of the video entries. Video entries should be uploaded to YouTube and the video link included in the space provided in the entry form. Click here for a tutorial on how to upload a video to YouTube.
